April Catuogno, Secretary

April Catuogno currently advises The Villano View at Patrick M. Villano School in Emerson. Prior to teaching, Catuogno worked as a television news reporter in New York City and as a reporter, anchor, and producer in Scranton, PA, and Elmira and Binghamton, NY. The Garden State Scholastic Press Association awarded Catuogno the Golden Quill Award in recognition of her work as an adviser, teacher, and speaker and for her support of the advancement of student rights. In 2019, she took her middle school newspaper club members to the GSSPA's Fall Press Day where they were recognized as the youngest journalists in attendance. Catuogno earned a Master's in Journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, and she double-majored in Communications and Political Science at Marist College.
