Applications for the 2026 Bernard Kilgore and Bob Stevens Memorial scholarships, sponsored by the New Jersey Press Foundation and the Garden State Scholastic Press Association, are currently being accepted and must be postmarked no later than Feb. 6.

To be eligible for the $5,000 Kilgore Scholarship, an applicant must:

• Nominee must be a graduating senior from a New Jersey high school.
• Nominee must have at least a 3.0 average on a 4.0 scale.
• Nominees must have served at least two years in some capacity in high school journalism.
• Nominees must demonstrate the intent to study journalism/media in college and to pursue a career in the media.
• The applicant’s adviser must be a member of the GSSPA.
• Entry must be received by or postmarked by the deadline.

To be eligible for the $2,000 Stevens Scholarship, an applicant must:

• Nominee must be a graduating senior from a New Jersey high school.
• Nominee must have at least a 3.0 average on a 4.0 scale.
• Nominees must have served at least two years in some capacity in high school journalism.
• Only one nominee from each high school.
• The applicant’s adviser must be a member of the GSSPA.
• Entry must be received by or postmarked by the deadline.
